More about Dr Jan Dommerholt & Dr Wayne Mahmoud (Director) CPD Health Courses;

I first came across Jan in September 2014. I had read his book, Trigger Point Dry Needling: An Evidenced & Clinical Based Approach which was a wonderful companion to my understanding of Dry Needling practice.

I then interviewed Jan on my iTunes Podcast channel which has received literally hundreds of downloads since I first posted it.
The unique thing about Jan is that when you learn from him, you're learning from the source. He trained with Janet Travell & David Simons, the authors of Myofascial Pain & Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual.

After my interview with Jan I knew I had to complete his training course in the United States. Long story short, I completed my certification course with Myopain Seminars in August 2015.

The training Jan provides goes further than simply teaching students how to needle muscles...
What I loved about his approach to Dry Needling is that he emphasises the importance of understanding the latest research, historical background & attention to safety.

Dr Dommerholt is a Dutch-trained physical therapist who holds a Masters Degree (HealthCare Admin & Biomechanical Trauma) & a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St Augustine, Florida, plus he's a current PhD Candidate at the Aalborg University faculty of Medicine, in Denmark.
